Last year I was contacted about this photograph, of Eagle’s Star Sailor (Sailor), and Eagle’s Cascadian Rhythm (Iris) snuggled up, from someone wanting to use it for a book they were publishing.

My good friend Morgan lives about 20 miles away, in the mountians, on a beautiful little dream farm. Yesterday Dea and I were invited out, for an afternoon of ratties, horses, and Labradors. So much fun! Here’s a few pics of our lovely visit with a wonderful friend.

A good Samaritan rescued a litter of wild rats from poison/death at a local feral cat refuge, and then sought help with them. [...]

Not only did Shelby end up being pregnant after all as suspected, she didn’t grow much bigger than the last pics, and she gave us a larger than typical litter for her line, and age!
Shelby gave birth this morning, to NINE pink, squishy, but smaller than I usually see eepers. There’s about a 1/2 [...]

We’re hoping Shelby is pregnant this time… cross fingers! She’s looking a tad bit chubbier, and nipples are a bit more noticeable. We tried breeding her with a dwarf boy, but she didn’t take. Sometimes girls don’t like those midget boys, so here’s to hoping she simply doesn’t like smaller men! [...]

Schedules finally worked out, so Morgan (Dream Mtn Rattery) who’d been holding rats for me until quarantine was over, and I was home from the nationals brought my rats she’d kept, and some rats from litters she’d been holding for me over.
