Dogs around the towns

May 28th, 2009

This Saturday we went out to Saturday markets, and around downtown Albany a little bit (Looking for pepper plants, and a few other garden things), and I was able to admire a few of the local doggies.

This handsome Aussie boy again. I just adore him. Since hubby was in the car with me [...]

Snuggle puss

May 27th, 2009

Ropey has got to be the sweetest, most laidback kitten on the planet. Yes, I am biased!

Getting belly rubs from her kid. I have no idea what she’s holding, maybe a hair or something! Ropey loves to lounge for belly rubs, and would lay there for HOURS, if you keep petting.

Ropey’s mama had [...]

Flickr Oregon Dog Group!

May 27th, 2009

Since there wasn’t a flickr group for Oregonian dog lovers, I decided to make one! If you live in Oregon, use flickr, and take dog photos, please join us!
Oregon Dogs on flickr, all dog lovers welcome!
For the all-around Cardi people, there’s already Cardi Party, and for the rat fanciers, Rattie Love, which is a [...]

Last week were were able to work Galaxy on geese a little at a friends farm. She worked like a DREAM, and needed no direction, just a little encouragement as a large male goose charged her, her first response was to take a couple steps back, but she gained her composure, squatted, and stared [...]

OK that’s it, I NEED to get Cee into an official herding test. THAT can be her first title, since I doubt I can get her a CGC before she’s 5 (She fails the ‘leave alone with a stranger’ part, because she insists on cussing me out, because I DARE leave her princess self…)
So, [...]

*EDIT* We were able to find ALL 6 of these boys a home together, and the 3 girls will stay here, and live out their lives (Unless another home comes around) YEA!
A good Samaritan rescued a litter of wild rats from poison/death at a local feral cat refuge, and then sought help with them. [...]

Shelby babies!

May 25th, 2009

Not only did Shelby end up being pregnant after all as suspected, she didn’t grow much bigger than the last pics, and she gave us a larger than typical litter for her line, and age!
Shelby gave birth this morning, to NINE pink, squishy, but smaller than I usually see eepers. There’s about a 1/2 [...]

Dream a little bit….

May 24th, 2009

This hand-sculpted and painted Pegasus pin is dedicated to anyone who’s ever wanted to fly away on a magic steed. It’s also perfect for mythical horse fans, and collectors. The hair, and hooves are a metallic silver color, which didn’t come out well in the picture but look beautiful in real life.
This pin [...]

Our boatin’ bitch

May 23rd, 2009

Since Cove is so large, and excitable around the water (We’ve tried boating with him in the past, he goes NUTS, trying to get into the water…), and Traum isn’t a big fan of water, or being carried, we decided this year to try Galaxy in the canoe, to see how she liked it. [...]

Art, envoking emotions.

May 22nd, 2009

“I know what you are learning to endure. There is nothing to be done. Just make sure nothing is wasted. Take notes, remember it all, every insult, every tear. Tattoo it on the inside of your mind. In life, knowledge of the poisons is essential. I’ve told you, nobody becomes an artist unless they have [...]
